It is also a failure of hearers. We have wanted what we have received. We have rewarded the smooth voice and grown impatient with the broken one. We have asked for confidence and called it faith. We have asked for excitement and called it anointing. We have made markets where there ought to have been altars, and the speakers have given us what the markets demanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hearer is never neutral. Discernment is not an audience posture but a formation. It is the slow training of the inward ear to recognize the voice that has been undone before being sent, and to grow uneasy in the presence of the voice that has not. We have largely lost this training. We must mourn what we have rewarded as much as what we have spoken. M. Chironna<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The crisis is not only that true voices have become rare, but that our ears have forgotten how to recognize them. We have often preferred polish over honesty, certainty over surrender, performance over presence. Yet genuine speech for God is usually marked not by smoothness, but by humility by a voice that has first been broken, questioned, and remade in silence before it speaks.
