Swan, seeker of the sacred in the strange<br><br>Chapter 22 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pastor opens Sunday school:<br>\u201cLet\u2019s talk about three in one and one in three.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\udd5a First analogy: an egg \u2014 shell, white, yolk.<br>All egg. All God? \u274c Nope. All heresy.<br>A shell isn&#8217;t an egg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udca7 Next? Water, ice, steam. Another classic.<br>But that\u2019s modalism \u2014 God showing up in 3 forms, but never at once.<br>Ice isn\u2019t steam and water at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\udd14 Be honest \u2014 the Trinity can feel like a dusty, inherited doctrine.<br>Confusing. Patriarchal.<br>Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But hear this:<br>The Trinity isn\u2019t about theological gymnastics.<br>It\u2019s about \ud83d\udc97 love.<br>It\u2019s about \ud83c\udf3f relationship.<br>It\u2019s about \ud83e\ude9e identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2728 God is Holy Mystery.<br>Beyond knowing.<br>Above easy definition.<br>Yet in love, God seeks relationship.<br>From that, everything flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\udde9 The Trinity isn\u2019t a riddle to solve \u2014 it\u2019s love refusing to be flattened.<br>We say God is One.<br>We say God is Three.<br>What we mean is:<br>God is love.<br>Wholly. Radically. Relationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf00 Creator. Redeemer. Sustainer.<br>Source of Life. Living Word. Bond of Love.<br>No metaphor is enough.<br>But in the three, we glimpse the One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd26 Like a prism turning in light \u2014 each angle reveals a truth about God.<br>To say \u201cGod is triune\u201d is to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God is not static.<br>Not distant.<br>Not locked in creeds.<br>God is movement. Mutuality. Dance. \ud83d\udc83\ud83c\udffd\ud83d\udd7a\ud83c\udffd<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And we are invited in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc76 God creates and calls us beloved.<br>\u271d\ufe0f God redeems and walks in our woundedness.<br>\ud83d\udd25 God sustains us with courage and compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God doesn\u2019t want just survival.<br>God wants flourishing \u2014 for all creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udca5 If you\u2019ve tried to \u201csolve\u201d the Trinity, you\u2019ve likely been frustrated.<br>One = three? Three = one?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But step back.<br>What if the Trinity is not a logic problem\u2026<br>\u2026but an invitation?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God has never been alone.<br>And you were never meant to be. \ud83d\ude4f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2696\ufe0f The Trinity is unity without uniformity.<br>Diversity without division.<br>A relationship where no one is erased \u2014 and no one stands alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\ude9e Your individuality reflects God.<br>Your voice. Your questions. Your contradictions.<br>Not flaws \u2014 holy design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf0d And still, the Trinity doesn\u2019t let us settle.<br>This dance is a movement of justice.<br>Of liberation.<br>Of showing up in a broken world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc94 God doesn\u2019t just comfort the broken.<br>God becomes broken.<br>Thirsts. Weeps.<br>Not from weakness \u2014 but from outrageous love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude2e The scandal of the Trinity?<br>That God might need us.<br>Because love without vulnerability\u2026 isn\u2019t love at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc9e God is relationship.<br>And in that divine love, we find our calling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f The Trinity isn\u2019t a relic.<br>It\u2019s the rhythm of love itself.<br>A pattern we\u2019re invited to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where difference is delight.<br>Where justice is embodied.<br>Where love becomes the shape of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc63 If we\u2019re bold enough to join the dance\u2026<br>We may just find \u2014<br>There\u2019s room for every single one of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wishing you a great day!<br>Philemon<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f The Trinity Isn\u2019t a Puzzle \u2014 It\u2019s a DanceParaphrased and edited from Rev.
